Privacy

Short version: this site collects nothing about you.

No accounts, no forms

There's nothing to sign up for. No registration, no contact form, no newsletter box, no comment field. You can't hand this site personal information because there's nowhere to type it.

The calculator stays in your browser

The amount you type and the coins you pick are handled by a script running on your own device. None of it is sent anywhere or stored. Reload the page and it's gone.

Cookies and analytics

This site runs Google Analytics to count page views and see which pages get read. It sets two first-party cookies, _ga and _ga_VSVFFTDDN1, which tell one browser from another, and reports aggregate figures: page views, rough country, device type. It never receives what you typed into the converter, and we don’t sell or share the data.

Who your browser talks to

Two outside requests happen while a page loads. Current prices are pulled from a public price API so the numbers aren't stale, and the fonts come from a public font service. Both see the standard things any web request reveals, such as your IP address and browser details. Neither receives anything you typed, and neither is given any information by this site.

Links that take you away

The swap buttons lead to a third-party exchange service. Once you follow one, you're on their site under their privacy policy, and what they collect is described there. The link carries the coin pair and the amount you entered so the page opens ready to go — that's all it passes along.

Nothing stored in your browser

The pages don't write to local storage or session storage, and there's no saved state between visits. Close the tab and nothing of yours is left behind on this side.

What the server writes down

The pages are static files served by a hosting provider. Hosting providers typically keep basic access logs at the server level. That's standard infrastructure behaviour, not something this site configures or reads.

Revisions

If this ever changes, the text on this page changes with it. There's no mailing list to notify, because there's no mailing list.
